The Community Health Facilities Fund

Our Mission

The Community Health Facilities Fund ("CHFF") was established in 1991 through the sponsorship of the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare and the United States Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association (USPRA).

Funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, CHFF's mission is to improve access to capital for non-profit, community-based behavioral healthcare organizations throughout the United States. Our financial partners are also dedicated to that mission and directly invest their funds to fulfilling this mission.

CHFF is a 501(c)3 organization. The mission of the organization is to assist nonprofit, behavioral healthcare organizations obtain access to capital either through the funding of loans directly to organizations or by providing financial advice and assistance which enables organizations to access capital from outside sources.

Our People

Board of Trustees

CHFF is governed by a five member Board of Directors. The Board consists of individuals with expertise in behavioral healthcare management, financial services, healthcare policy and nonprofit management.  These individuals each have extensive experience as senior managers of behavioral healthcare organizations and financial services entities. The Board is active in setting the overall focus of the organization.

Staff

CHFF's professional staff consists of individuals with extensive experience in financial services primarily focused on organizations in the healthcare and nonprofit sectors.
